LANDUSE FRAMEWORK WILL BE CRITICAL
FOR SUSTAINING SYLVAN LAKE VALUES

On May 21, 2008, the Hon. Ted Morton, Minister of Sustainable Resource Development, released the Draft Land-use Framework. This document sets new policy directions and imposes sustainability tests on the form and content of future development in Alberta.

The framework will require that development proposals consider such factors as density & intensity levels and associated cumulative effects.
