About SLWSS

The Sylvan Lake Watershed Stewardship Society (SLWSS) was formed under the Alberta Societies Act in 1999 to act as an advocate for the protection of Sylvan Lake and its watershed. The Society is a non-profit volunteer organization operating under the Alberta Societies Act bylaws.

The Sylvan Lake Watershed Stewardship Society (SLWSS) is comprised of Officers and Directors who meet regularly throughout the year.  We are concerned primarily with the Sylvan Lake Watershed which is a sub-watershed of the Red Deer River Watershed in Alberta, Canada.

Vision

The natural assets and ecological integrity of Sylvan Lake and its watershed are conserved for Alberta's future.


Mission

To protect the Sylvan Lake watershed and its water quality from damage.
